What is Cats for Christ?

Cats for Christ is a Christian campus ministry serving the campus of Kansas State University and the community of Manhattan, Kansas.

The mission of Cats for Christ is to help students grow closer to the heart of God. We believe this is done by engaging people in three areas: Faith, Ministry, and Community. It is these three areas that are modeled by the first group of Christian believers in Acts chapter 2, verses 42-47:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

It is the goal of Cats for Christ to be this kind of community, because it is in this description that God's people most closely matched the essence of Christ, which was the heart of God. In living by community, faith, and ministry, God transformed lives by drawing them closer to his heart.
